Chantmarle means "Song of the blackbird" in Norman French and when you visit it is easy to see how the venue inspired such a pretty name. Chantmarle Manor retains the charm and character you would expect from a 13th century Grade I listed manor house, yet is finished to the highest contemporary standards.

Period features include latticed windows, huge carved stone open fires and oak-panelled reception rooms with ornate ceilings.

The gardens, listed in their own right as Grade II*, are set in stunning countryside with woodland, lakes, fountains and even a moat. Formal terraces and water gardens are visible from every window in the Manor House.
